Die Quinta de la Rosa befindet sich seit 1906 im Besitz der Familie Bergquist. Die Familie, in die auch Claire Feuerheerd einheiratete, beschäftigt sich seit über 200 Jahren mit dem Portweinhandel und hat unter dem Namen Feuerheerd auch international eine große Bekanntheit erreicht. Heute werden auf den rund 55ha Rebfläche rund 50.000 Lite Port und rund 160.000 Liter Tafelwein erzeugt. Die Vintage Ports und die aged Tawnies sind die Aushägeschilder des Unternehmens.
